Calling Scott - Switzer R1K?
PS - Tell Peter I will be extremely hungry Thursday night.
Congrats! I have a quick question for ya. My wife HATES all of the attention that the 996tt receives; after a really bad incident where we were almost driven off the x-way by some kids getting a video.
How does the GT-R fair with non gear heads? Do regular drivers even know what it is? I am not crazy about the styling, but I have a 996tt that the wife hates, and does not fit both kids. . . .and I am thinking of a change.
Thanks, Tom

My GT2 and 996TT got very little attention. The GT-R, however, receives a TON. I get people taking pictures, stopping at my rear quarter panel and staring at stop lights, pacing me on the freeway, coming up to me in parking lots and gas stations to discuss the car, and even had a weirdo try following me home once.
It might vary from location to location, but I've never received this much attention in any other car I've previously owned.
I find that here in the DC/MD/VA metro area the GTR is getting more common that it was in '09 but they are still fairly rare. Also 911TT varient P cars are not ones you see everyday...it depends on areas though, Potomac, Great Falls, etc...they blend right in...the styling does provoke looks from folks in most places though. With a GT-R1K though you may have some street racers vying for your attention though
Interesting Scott i got to checkout TopSecrets Tuning headquarters and meet Smokey While i was in Japan, so many R35's out there
they had 3 1000whp R35's on display i have photos if youd like to see them

A solid decision hasn't been made yet on the displacement, but it's possible that I'll leave it at 3.8L. There are still some remaining conversations to have concerning all of the details.
The car will more than likely not be completed by TX2K11.
