Money is no object....A bit sad to look at... The second video , the high pitch noise is really annoying but the BMW is really fast.

 

Straight cut gears FTL.... my wife is complaining about the "eaer piercing noise" from across the room..lol

That said, I'd rock it HARD

 

That's a Hewland or Hollinger sequential manual racing gearbox...they are straight cut gears and INCREDIBLE gearboxes, team PTG used those when they campaigned the M3 in BMW motorsport program from the late 90's - mid 00's and the dominated, back when I was club racing a whole lot with BMW this gearbox was an option but would put your race car in a modified class...I would love to run that gearbox...the sound is great (it's actually not as loud in the car with helment and radio earpeice) ...

that particular car in the video was for a series in Europe in what was to be a Super Touring car competition...the car shown is a 325i 4dr sedan e36 chassis with a Sequential hollinger box I believe...there were 2 exact same cars for this very series to be campaigned by TC Kline racing out of Hilliard Ohio.

The Lambo vid looks like any normal spec series when you collect clips from a season or a few race weekends, nothing unusual, ppl take chances, make mistakes etc. However look close and there is no deliberate bumpercar style stuff like the deliberate Nascar-farce.

 

maybe that video amplifies it. I have heard straight cut gear sound in other cars, but nothing that loud or bad. Still the guy was blazingly fast.
