Orange TPMS fit HRE 540R wheels?

Its time to replace the rear tires on my 996TT. Would like to install the Orange TPMS system everyone here seems to use/recommend. Though the HREs have a weird 'integrated' valve stem (one of the wheel bolts is just a cap to a metal stem). Does anyone know if the Orange system will fit a HRE wheel. If not, is there another system that will?

Thanks,
Stephen

The HRE folks are always extremely responsive on the boards -- I'd just send them an email or call. Only way to know if it will/won't void warranty, too.

I know the orange tpms allow an adjustable angle. You should email Orange Electric as well and ask them.

Hey Stephen,

I will be in and out tomorrow, but if you call our main line, 760-598-1960, and ask for Vince, we'll get you all handled with your questions.

Based on the info I have, you will probably have to have our TPMS adapter installed, or use a strap. The adapter is ideal for what you are looking to do.

I would not recommend the "orange" system sticking a valve stem into the middle of the wheel. Something could hit the stem causing an immediate drop in tire pressure. I recommend the Sensor adapter.

Look forward to hearing from you.

I've heard they are problematic.
