keep them, race with the HREs until you can afford some super lightweight race wheels (BBS Magnesium possibly).

Beastpower: I just got off the phone and the TechArt 18" wheels don't fit over the 15" Brakes.

So for now I simply will not track my car. I really do need to save money for the Cayenne and Gumball.

Thanks everyone for your help, greatly appreciated.

Fred
Fred,
Who indicated that TechArt 18s won't work? Brembo said that they will work.

Cheers.

Fred....I have the same dilemma. I spoke to John Wallace at HRE and he advised that 840R series in 18” would fit w/o a problem (because of reverse centre design dynamic). In fact I plan to order a set for the same purpose of tracking.

Do you have John's number? Maybe he can answer my question regarding 540Rs without me having to do the measurements...

TIA!

Just race with your HRE's on! They just look plain sick on the track!

Fred-

I think you may be out of luck. Even if you run the 19's you will find a limitation regarding track tires. Most tire manufacturers do only focus on 18" sizes.

The only kit that will be able to fit around the stock 19's is the Brembo Motorsport kit. Since they are geared solely for the track, they will require some maintenance. These do not come with dust seal, will be squeaky, and pad options are limited

We are however still contemplating this kit for our car since we run Hoosiers on stock wheels at the road courses.

Sorry, but hope this helps.

Daniel,
CEC said that the TechArt don't fit. I think they would know better then Brembo when it comes to TechArt wheels.

So I am out of luck!

My guess is they do not fit due to offset, not because of wheel size. There is a possibility, they may fit if a small spacer is used.

Using a spacer is probably your best solution, or just swap your stockers for something that will work.

Cheers.
