Wheel Color on a Seal Grey 996TT

Any opinions on wheel color for a seal grey 996TT? I'm thinking anthracite (dark grey, coal) or black. Leaning towards black. Also, is it harder or easier to keep black wheels looking clean (no PCCB)? I know that you have to work harder to keep a black car looking clean.

Subscribed- actually some crazy red GT3 wheels I can't afford for sale that would be fun. Currently have my dognut on car and the color looks cool. But if buying some blackish is what ibwill go with, probably flat.

I have HREs with brushed centers and polished lips. I think they give the car a clean subtle look. They are being refinished right now at HRE. I'll post up a close up when I get them back. Rims are a very personal choice and the possibilities of sizes/colors/brands seem endless. I'm sure you will be able to find plenty of pics on this site which will help you decide.

I debated the same thing and went with gunmetal grey with a polished lip. I am happy with it. I will see if I can upload a pic.

Gloss black will look good when spotlessly clean amd just wiped down. Semi gloss black will look good most of the time, even with a little brake dust on them. Flat colors tend to look chalky after a while and are hard to keep new looking.

Silver would look good too in the right wheel design, maybe a bit classic and more conservative than the black.

BTW, the wheels in my avatar are going away and will be relpaced with a thin open spoke black design

On darker grey cars, silver wheels look best IMO. Gunmetal is as dark as I'd go, but wheels are very much personal taste.

I also have the HRE's. I also powder coated my stockers satin black.

Go for the monochromatic look, my wheels were custom painted British Black (aka gray) by Champion.

Brushed is really easy to keep clean; I usually just cleaned the chrome lip without cleaning the center... and they still looked okay. I like the classic brushed look but just got a little tired with them. New look will be textured black with chrome lips.

Looking forward to seeing some pics when you get your wheels back. Good seeing you earlier today. Have fun at the track!

I have flat black F14's on mine. I also really like hyperblack (black chrome)

I would look at Polished or Brushed, Satin Charcoal, or Satin Black

As people have stated, its all personal taste.

Here's a gallery of different combinations.

Here area few pics of mine with gunmetal grey centers and polished lips. I agnozied over whether to go with a polished center but decided to try something different. I am happy with the results and can always have the centers polished in the future if I want.
