Photo's with 18" Forgestar F-14s

Guys...bout ready to take the plunge on a set of 18" flat black Forgestar F-14s. Like the 19" look, but am also looking for a bit more supple ride and better tire selection. That said, before I lay my credit card down, I'm looking for any photos of 18s on our 996TT (any color).

18s fit very well on the 996TT, the wheel arches aren't enormous !

Great wheels, just put a set of gunmetal 18x10F and 18x12R for my stock body SC300.

The Forgestar F-14s are great wheels, and one of our best sellers.

The thing I love most about them is that all of Forgestar's wheels are rotary forged. This results in a strong wheel with similar properties to a forged wheel, as well as a 15% weight savings over a comparable cast wheel; all at a low price point. This is the same method that companies like BBS, Enkei, and Volk use on their forged monoblock wheels.

If anyone is interested in a set, don't hesitate to contact me, and I'll be sure to get you set up!

Best Regards,
Alan

I am seeing these more recently. Just saw a white 370Z with black F14s on two days ago, looks great. 19"s look better but 18"s look nice on a 996TT

ttpopo 03-15-2013 09:34 PM

definitely 18s on the silver car...

I wanted 18"s but needed wheels now and ran into a set of 19" in stock (forgestar f14 take 8 weeks to get :( )

'02996ttx50 03-15-2013 10:30 PM

yeah, 8 weeks to build and the face has changed on the newer ( this years ) f'star f14' 18's unless you can find the older barrels and i needed ONE new/old one! but fortunately i found a great wheel place ( tru wheel in NoHo CA ) and my last weekends bent wheel isn't bent any more. one day turn, powder coated and all ).. still gonna get a set of gt2 twists as backups. 18's on these cars is just so much..... better. too bad the f'star cf10 is 19 only?! ya know..19's are fine.. until you run canyons. that's how i have this figured.

are you running 25/19 or 30/19 in the rear?

and the front?

225,235,245?

I still dont get why 19" means less grip on these cars. Yeah with a 25/19 rear and a 225 in the front I see that, but today's lighter wheels combined with the right rubber should be equal or better for the STREET.

(most sticky track tires are 18", so that part is clear. :))

'02996ttx50 03-15-2013 11:23 PM

no, i'm running 18's in 9x12. i agree 19's are fine for street. but 90% of my driving is canyons and i'm certain 19's are not optimal on this car in canyons eg pikes peak kinda stuff vs 18's. street yes. no prob.

speakin' of the peak.. i live for this sh*t!

Forgestar F14 18" wheels have recently become a popular fitment for Weekend Track Warriors and Full Time Race Teams because of the strength and lightweight properties. Here are some pictures of the EME Motorsports Project 997S Track Car at Spring Mountain Las Vegas.

Specs:
18×9 Front
18×12 Rear
