At Idle...

I hear a slight noise similiar to the sound of pinging or more like a chain. It dissappears once I hit the gas.

I am I just hearing things or is something to be concerned about. I have checked the oil and the car has just 4000 miles on it.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

RJ

My car has just over 2k on it and I also hear this noise. I was half of a quart low a couple of days ago. Does any one know how to truly read the digital Oil measurement on the car. What do each little line represent????

It's explained in the owner's manual.

What I have been told is to wait until you see it down 4 bars and then put in a quart. What I have done is follow the above and put in just 3/4 of quart. One thing you do not want to do is over flow the oil reserve.

Each line represents 1/4 qt or 8 ozs.
