Converting to RWD
Converting to RWD
Can anyone shed some light on any technical issues associated with removing the front wheel drive portion on a 996TT?
Is this straight foreward?
Does this cause safety concerns with the Skid Control?
Does the car act and feel better? IE being more tossable, throttle steer, etc...
How much does the front wheel drive assembly weight?
Of course one could buy a GT2 to get all of the above and more, but at $50,000+ difference The proposition of modifing a TT is more palatable to me.

I recently took it off .
I don't have much answer for you , as I didn't drive it much .
The Drive shaft doesn't weight a lot , maybe 10 pounds .
I was told that the ABS will not function right .
But man , it does make a big different , First gear rev a lot quicker that I instantly noticed . Cars pull a lot more while Turbo kicks in .
It is fun .
