I wish my wing would get stuck in the up position. That's save me the $ from doing the fixed wing mount one of these days. I think it looks much better wing up and I don't notice any performance difference at all having it up all the time. I wish those damn hydralics would just die already so I can force myself to get this done; pressing that button every time I cross 75 then below 37 again is just so tedious!

Anyone know what the going rate is for a set of working wing hydralics? Is it possible to sell these? I've heard they are expensive and maybe I can sell mine to pay for the fixed wing mount mod?

I guess I still prefer the GT2 wing and decklid, but I'm trying to control the mod bug.

Send me your hydraulic pump and rams. I'll mod the rams for you so they are up all the time with a kit that I machine and install. I'll ship back the modded rams post paid in exchange for your working pump. The mod I do is reversable and won't damage or even require disassembly of the rams. I install it with my 20 ton press and fit a plug in place of the banjo bolt. I did mine a week or so ago as pictured.

Accept the fact that you've been bitten hard by the mod bug and get the GT2 deck and wing.

You may like the look of the wing in the up position all the time, but I can tell you from following a 996TT onto the freeway that there's nothing cooler than catching a view (from the side or rear) of that wing coming up as the car accelerates thru 75mph. Now that's a sweet look.....and why I knew I wanted a p-car someday

We have a some fix mount wing options if interested. GT2, TA Type II, plus a variety of top wingblades that will fit the TA Type II decklid.

Once the fixed wing mod is fitted, how do you stop the dash light saying Wing failure? Is there an electrical fix for it.

Thats funny, I always like the wing in the down position. I think it makes the back of the car look much wider and gives it a meaner stance, specially the TA Wing Blade that you have Steve (I have the same blade). When that thing is up it looks like a plank of wood to me floating in the air.

There is a module from Porsche that you can buy, and if memory serves me correct, I think I saw a DIY thread somewhere on 6speed that address this issue.
