So, last week my clutch started to slip when I drive hard (65k miles on the car). I have called around a few places in So. Cal and im getting quotes around >= $3600 for the kit and labor. Does anyone have any shop they recommend? experience... price.... etc....

Thanks in advance.

How many hours did they quote? I think a P-mechanic will do it in 8-10hrs. So 1000USD seems good to me for labor.

But to spend 2,600 for parts you should be getting an upgraded clutch I think, not a stock one...I spent about 2,500 for clutch disc+pressure plate+RS flywheel with all bolts and bearings.

I recommend a stock clutch unless you're modded. My $.02

thanks for the feedback. The quotes I got were for the shop keeping the car for 3 days... + $2000 for the stuck clutch kit parts. I am thinking to just buy the kit myself (sachs standard OEM) my car is not mod'ed so stuck clutch should be fine.
