that helper spring should of been part of the package in the kit

I agree. Commuting around in SoCal traffic with a manual is such a joy already.

I do have the GT2 "helper" spring.

As far as the 500%. it's obviously a guess, i don't know how to measure it. It was actually my mechanics guess as to the difference, and i tend to agree that it's a decent guess. Hopefully i'll get to check out a local car that has it done this evening. i'll report back after.

Stiffer but better

Having driven around a dozen stock ones before buying one with the GT2 slave, I'd estimate it's 2-3x the stiffness but with so much better modulation and pedal feedback at the (dis)engagement point. Combined with a 997 shifter, it makes for a no nonsense, sports/racer driving feel. Great for a weekend car, not so much for plowing through stop & go. Unless you're constantly switching back & forth to another MT car, it will feel "normal" in no time. Even if you do like me, it's an instant reminder every time that you're now driving the serious machine
