I took this advice and ended up with at least one leaky (Bailey) DV and/or F-hose. I've got an intake leak is that system that's throwing up CELs now...

I plan on going back to stock and just replacing the stock parts as they fail. I'll have a more detailed writeup on the DV failure soon.

I just finished a Softronic Tune. Nice because they send you back your stock file with the mod files and a durametric cable to do the flash from your own lap top. You can flash between the files anytime you want. I also have the old style speedtech 200 cell cats/mufflers (cost effective but there are better systems out there). The results have now exceeded my expectation. Finally got to take it out for a good hard run. 1.1-1.2 bar all day long with 91 pump gas. Response is better across the board with 3rd and 4th astonding. No CEL, no pinging. Runs great. I'm sure my stock diverters are not long for this world. Regardless of which tuner you pick, make sure you do the exhaust also.

Thank you all. I think I have decided on the Softronic K16 flash with the launch control option.

The instructions are a little scary with all the "you'll fry your ECU" warnings. But if you read the instructions over a few times and follow them to the letter you won't have any problems. Make sure you have a laptop with windows XP or better, (the 64 bit software works faster) enough RAM, and processing speed. Make sure you use a cat 5 internet cable (don't rely on a wireless system)

I started off with a flash and exhaust 4 years ago... 3 major setups later I am where I am now... Built motor, big turbos, standalone, etc... Just waiting on tuner to get home from out of the country now.

But a flash and exhaust is def. the best bang for the buck. I've worked with EPL for 2 years now and have had nothing but good luck. The other tuners here are also very good people (EVOMS, Markski/Proto, Softronic, Switzer, etc).. So you can't go wrong either way!
