We all know that things will fall apart when they get old (105k is pretty high). The motor mounts and tranny mounts will add more vibrations to the car. Unless you are hardcore like f1crazydriver, else I wouldn't do it myself.

105K is not high for a 10 yr old car...12K per year is the rated avg for normail to low miles on a yearly basis for US autos... at the model year produced this example is considered 'low miles' ... if this car was maintained properly there's nothing to worry about...the mounts condition I think is moreso determined by the tyoe of driving this car saw over it's 10 yr life...

I'm not here to debate what's old and not old; all I'm saying is you'll get a different result if you shake a younger body and an older body (things will come loose quicker).

motor mounts - up to you.
tranny mount - most definetly should be replaced now.

it's just a rubber bushing - i guarantee it will be destroyed after a 100k

I think the TorqueSolutions guys were talking about making a Poly transmission mount?

I'd really like to get one of those before I replace mine.

I recently replaced my engine mounts wth wevo semi solids and tranny mount with a 997T unit. I was told that upon removing the tranny mount it was discovered that my stock tranny mount was torn.

torque solution motor mounts are available in the vendor section of the 996 forum. wevo mounts are available on their website.

997tt tranny mount is available from pelican or any other porsche parts vendors.
