stock headers ported have following advantages:

double walled...no heat loss..turbo lag reduced at low rpm

ebay headers: single wall, heat loss, crack, bent flange and in many cases a amplifier for the intermediate shaft noise,

i was a friend of the sexy header, after mine do crack i made my homework and ported the oem header,

after a test trip my car goes immediate to the rev limit in 6.gear with oem header, so why i should go again to ebay header?

if you buy aftermarket headers use a quality product with thick walls

I could not believe how fast boost builds now! I've been running the Ebay "headers" for 7 years ever since my car got built to 640HP. The car was faster than before the mods (headers done as part of a package) so I never knew what I was missing.

WHen I got the LWFW done, lag went down a *bit*, but got worse as the crack (and noise) got worse.

So Ive never had a chance to try my car with the 640 kit and OEM headers.

WOW - it really feels like a big V8 now, power is immediate, lag imperceptible - even in 6th!

The biggest bonus is how great it sounds.

FYI, the headers in my original lit retatiled for $1200. I was VERY surprised to see that they looked exactly like the ebay/chinese ones...

I'm not. Shops sell ebay (read: cheap ****) stuff all the time, knowingly or otherwise. I'll almost guarantee you paid 1200 for 100 headers. Its pretty sad places do that. I know of "distributors" who literally sell only Chinese made perf parts claiming they are some brand yet it's all the same stuff guys sell online. To be honest, some of it is pretty good. The Chinese boxster headers made 22hp and lasted years for $200, it's not all bad per say.
