How to find out what flash is on a car?

Looking at a 2001 996t. Current owner claims it has a flash on teh ECU, however he bought it second hand, and cannont determine what kind.

Is there any way to find out? It does boost to 1 bar.

If the car has the stock turbos (k16) and is not flashed you should do a 0,7bar max, if you do 1 or 1,1bar then your car has mod ecu

try emailing your vin to a couple tuners! mine turned out to be GIAC!

some tuners often go by client name, so you might hit a wall!

Hmmm. I'm just scared of putting 91 octane in it if it's tuned for 93.....
