So last week we had the opportunity to do a little work to this beautiful 2002 GT2. Mods were relatively simple but the outcome was fantastic! We installed GIAC's off the shelf performance software, Tubi exhaust system, our Champion Motorsport intercoolers, some rare MS61 magnesium wheels, along with a track alignment and some mild black accents here and there.

With the performance mods we installed, we saw some pretty impressive results on our DynoJet. Power was bumped up to just short of 500 WHP! Next up...we'll do GIAC's Hitachi MAF upgrade and see if we can squeeze a little more out of it.

I've attached two dyno charts (SAE and STD) and one datalog at the bottom of the post so you can see just how well our I/C's worked together with the software on this car! Here's some pictures of the car itself.

Nice car and great results!!

I have a 996 Turbo S with Giac software and europipe exhaust.
In my car the maximum pressure is 1,1(sometimes 1,2) and 1 bar at hi-revs.
Can you please tell me if there are other versions from Giac with more pressure?

From your experience a de-cat 996tt produse more power?(for race use)

This is my car:

The wing is vinyl-wrapped, but the mirrors are painted.

nice....gives me some ideas! I like the wing and mirrors in black! I would probably use wrap though, want to leave it original paint and wrap lets you go back whenever you want.

It IS good to know you also have the application for the 996 GT2, Tom. The car looks great. Are the cores that you use for this car the same size as the 997.1 replacement cores? Or are there slight variations, i.e., size, depth, thermal cooling, etc?

Nice touch on the painted chin-spoiler. Was colour match a bit of a challenge? Did you consider also painting the bumperettes? Or, in your opinion, did you think that would have been overkill? Personally, I think it looks balanced.
