ideal ride height for street

I just had a full TA style body kit put on and got the car back 2 days ago. Today, I hit a bump on a driveway and broke the front lip. The car is 3" from the ground. The car looked way too high with stock height but now is way too low. So what is the ride height that you guy are running?

The front lip is inexpensive to replace but don't want to keep dealing with it. I have yellow speed racing coilovers that seem to be great for the steet.

Even with stock height, I've scraped the front lip on driveways.

Yup! Gotta take em at an angle. Just as a reference, I recently went from stock suspension to PSS9's and my front lip went from 6 1/4 inches to 4 1/2 inches off the ground! Big difference!!!

I just picked up an 03tt lowered to gt2 euro specs, ( so much better than stock! ) and have scraped the lip already. Had the car 2 days! This was to replace my wrecked stock x50 car that still scraped driveways, and angling to compensate isn't always possible.

I've concluded that it's just gonna happen and that lip replacements are just part of the joy of ownership.

I am 25.25" front and 25.75" rear from floor to top of wheel well and just put an oem aero lip to replace my oem lip and it sticks out forward. I have a steep drive way and at entry I take a very sharp angle and even put 2 wheels on the grass a few feet to not scrape.

My neighbor had a funny look on his face the other day as I was pulling out and he walked over and explained to me that the ft passenger tire was suspended in the air as I was coming down my drive into the grass at the same angle I enter.

I have hr ft sways set at full soft and a oem roll bar so I guess the chassis is pretty stiff.
