those guage faces

i got the guages out and needles off in preparation of fitting new jellow faces, but those pesky little center rings, where's batman? seems they do NOT want to come off in one piece, anyone have help for me here? i would greatly appreciate any help to save my sanity, starting to babble/ramble...see what i mean, really , thanks ahead of time, kevin

Great to see you have a sense of humor about it. From what I have seen you just need to wiggle but as you know very gently and straight up.

wait, how do i even get ahold of it, this tiny ring edging the center hole

and flush with the face but you can see how it connects with the white underbody looking sideways at the tach

I used a very pointy knife and slid it under the gauge face very close to the ring and pried up very slowly and carefully. The gauge face just lifted out of the ring. Work your way all around and you're done.

appropriate name as well, thanks, i will try it, actually i have been trying just that with a blade from a utility knife, the ones like a very thick razor blade, i just don't want to break anything, here we go,
