More Info on Upsolute Stage II

I would like to know more about the Upsolute chip being used with upgraded K16 Turbos. I am a resident of Texas and I am interested in upgrading. Thanks.

Not many people on this board are using the Upsolute anymore. There were a lot of issues with throwing lights. Most people are using some stage of a GIAC program. You can get through EVO, Imagine Auto or PES.

I would recommend that you talk with Neil @ Orton Performance (a board sponsor) regarding the introduction of the PSI Performance Tuning. PSI Performance is a premier tuner in Europe and their numbers rival the best tuners in the US. You will find their cost per HP is very competitive and is usually less than the US tuners. MHO

I disagree.... It seems that there are still many that use the Upsolute software and are very pleased with the results. After my recent dyno run results, I couldn't be happier.

As far as upgraded turbos go, you can look at Bills' (BCS996TT)results from the recent dyno event. He has put together a perfect combination using upgraded turbos and Upsolute software which made big power on the dyno.....

JMHO of course.....

The Upsolute Stage I for the stock K16 turbos rock. I did track days and daily driving with zero issues to the tune of 455rwhp and 505rwtq. No check engine lights, no issues.

The Upsolute Stage II, which both Bill and I have, does not like cold weather. In weather conditions of around 30 deg or colder, it will sometimes limit boost... but, it will release once you throttle through it a few times. (Of course, I don't have to deal with that anymore, as I officially just moved to Cali yesterday.) I've run this setup at the track (Gingerman) as well without issues.

FWIW, the turbos I have are Kevin's ported Stage II's with billet backing plate. They flow more and spool harder than the K24's. Very effective turbos.

I got similar numbers, and after 2.5 years and 17,000 miles, I have never had a CEL issue. What a deal!!

17k on yours? Impressive. How many miles total on your car? I was wondering how the engine would hold up after long use. I really need to just go ahead and pick one up, then.

I'm at 23,800 total miles. You really will not believe the increase in power. Absolutely scarey. What an acceleration rush. Keep in mind that I do not beat my car to death either. I got almost 20,000 miles out of my rear tires.

They are only noisy when you have a quiet exhaust.
