New owner wannabe

I'm in the process of finding the right 996tt for me.
while searching I came across this one in Illinois and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about it:

Thanks for any advice, and sorry if this isn't the right place for this post!

the catchy is that it had a side accident. apparenty it was hard enough to set the driver door airbag off.
the dealer sent me a PPI/service log from after the accident which didn't show much, but I don't know how bad of a accident would set the bag off

Yea, hence my apprehension about this car. Unfortunately I didnt get pics of the car prior to the accident.
The dealer "guaranteed" no frame damage, but who knows what that means.

Teach her now on the WRX so she can drive the manual P-car.

I would not buy a car that has been in an accident, but that is just me. There are a lot of 996s on the market right now so if I were you I'd keep looking. Check autotrader, cars.com etc... Good luck, I too have been lurking for some time trying to find just the right one (actually I found it a few months ago but it sold under my nose).

Huh.

Don't call these guys 'dealers'...it is like thousands of used car lots/ car sellers all over the internet. I would venture their 'guarantee' is not in writing, nor would I bet they could financially back any guarantee they'd offer.

Nothing wrong with minor documented damage with proper repair, but you have NO idea what really happened. Ask them all you want, you'll never get 'actionable' data.

Here's the PPI from ~5 years after the accident, assuming AutoCheck's accident date is correct.
