anyone running without rear bumper warts

thinking about removing my rubber bumper on the back of my 996, is it really only one bolt ???

yes, then you are left with big aluminum brackets sticking out from your bumper

its not just as simple as removing the bumperettes unfortunately

figured you would have bought body color matched ones years ago, its a big improvement

Yea one allen only, takes 3 half turns to be able to remove the warts then remove bolts by hand.

The mounts for the bumperettes stick out though still and those are riveted, you have to drill them out of the alu crash beam.

Then get a Euro bumper or find a shop that can fill the holes.

Looks muuuch better without.

maybe i'll just get the white ones... speaking of white where did you get the exhaust tips??
