Too bad cause that was a classic!

Shank deleted if for me due to my legal situation which has now been resolved. Might be fun to bring the old thread back if anyone has it saved.

After my grandfather passed, we had his appartement in the heart of NYC for a few months before we decided to sell it. I still had my Speed Yellow Turbo at the time and I loved going down to NYC about every weekendl. Around there the clubs don't close at 2am like Boston and I never really wanted to cut the night short but nothing attracted more attention than my Turbo going down the highway at any speed.
So at some point I put the two and two together and realized the best thing to do to increase the fun meter, and cut down the commute was to start leaving a little later. I would leave at about 4AM making it home before 6AM. Cruising at 130's making my way towards the 170's occasionally. Fun stuff, when my girlfriend was with me it was even better, she kept throwing the BF's(***** fits). Those were the days. My M3 Cabrio was fun too but not as fun, nothing compared to sitting in a Porsche at high speed.

It's really amazing just how fast we've all gone. I remember back in 1985 when I got a ride in a blue 930 and we were doing 120mph... I thought that was so fast.
152mph in the S2000, which feels fine up to about 140, but after 140 begins to get a little uncomfortable.
speedo showed a tick over 170 in the 944(well modded) and was very stable.
160 in the 993 also very stable.
I sat shotgun in a E39 M5 with a chip that hit 170mph. Felt much faster from the passanger seat.
