Brake Distribution CEL Help
Brake Distribution CEL Help
A couple of times in the past month on spirit driving runs I have had Brake System CEL's.
Four errors are thrown:
"Brake Distribution"
"Brake Fluid"
"ABS Failure"
"PSM Failure"
I have an obdII CEL code reader and no codes are stored after I pull the key.
First time this happened I thought that it may be a sign of a battery/electrical issue. I've since changed the battery--it needed a new one anyway.
But this morning it happened 2 times again. Both time same driving situation. I was accelerating at the top of a apex that banked sharply, I was a bit late into the corner at high speed. At the moment I engaged the brakes the CEL's come on. These were pretty aggressive turn in's.
I stopped the car--let it sit for 1 minute restarted and no CEL's. 20 mins later similar apex turn in and brakes...CEL's again.
It almost seems like banking action and a quick change of direction while braking are causing a scenario that the ABS/PSM does not like. My next thought is that there may be air in the master cylinder that is being moved around while banking and the sensor are picking up a pressure varation in the ABS feedback. I bled the lines last fall.
Anyone have any ideas??

I've had a similar issue where I get a flashing CEL when a front wheel loses traction and hops at high speed. Unfortunately, nobody has been able to help me figure out why it's happening. I just shut off the car and restart it and it works fine.
