Softtronic vs. EPL ecu tuning?
While Softronic was incorporated in 06 I have been flashing the Porsche 7.8 20Mhz and 40mhz DME's since 01 and the 7.2's since 99. Basically starting on the chips in 1984.... The first conversion I did for a CC460 Porsche was in a 1998 Boxster that added a 3.4 996 engine to it. The Me7 as a general had been used in other cars also yet the programming is different from Porsche as most brands are.
Currently most of all the programming is in the newer Siemens units that the DFI cars use.
I have also been personally building Porsche race engines, trans for over 25 years.
I was rather surprised to see the post and not sure why it was posted to begin with. The one that was deleted and not yours. I did want to clarify as yours made it look like I only started programming Porsche since Softronic was incorporated though. I believe you had been flashing the Me7 as you stated and the Porsche more recently.
Great news and hopefully get some sleep with the new additions to the family. You will have lots of bottles and diapers for a bit and before you know it they will be in High School. My two boys have grown so fast I don't know how the time flew by.
Best Regards,
Scott

I think pegging one tuner against the other in a thread heading is of no use.. you will get members to argue back and forth... in the end no one wins...
Call each tuner... talk to them.. see if they listen, give you common sense answers and do not sell you cool aid... then go with your gut feeling...
