Clear bra over chips?

When I got my 996 GT2, there were a few little chips on the front bumper? Would it be noticeable if I had a clear bra put on the front bumper over these chips, or should I get my bumper resprayed, wait a couple of months, and then get the clear bra installed? Anyone have any photos of what a clear bra over a chip looks like? Looked a bunch last night on google, but didn't find much.

it'll look exactly like what you have now. clear bra is basically invisible.

you'll want to either touch it up or respray it.

if it looks okay to you now, i would just touch it up. small nicks are easy to conceal with a touchup paint applied with a toothpick. wait a week or so until the touchup dries before you get clear bra. if you decide to respray, wait at least a month before clear bra.

get the front end re-sprayed the clear bra it. don't get clear bra over chips it will be noticable, moreso w the film over top of the chip, plus you know it's there. do it right...do it once

I always thought about this also but with wrapping a vehicle instead. What if you had chips on your front bumper or door dings, how would the wrapping process work? Hope this doesn't stray to far from OP's original question as the answers are likely similar.

guys do it right get the chips taken care of....even w a wrap your going to get dimpling depending on the number of chips, realtive size, and total surace area covered....it's worse with clear bra...you'll regret it and then spend more doing it over...you own a very nice car, cutting corners here may only lead to frustration and unhappiness...do it once, do it right, and never have to deal w it again...

I agree, looked over the car closely last night, and have a little bit of polishing to do to take out some small swirl marks. Only place for respray will be the passenger mirror, and the front bumper. Everything else is ok. Finally get the use my Porter Cable 7424 XP and some polish. Did everyone else polish before bra?

Will be doing partial hood, I don't car about the line, driver's mirror, kick panels up over the rear fenders, and brake ducts over rear fenders. Will get respray on indicated areas, wait until Spring and do the rest.
