Rear Suspension Squeak? Help!
Rear Suspension Squeak? Help!
Hi,
I have a 2002 Turbo with H&R Swaybars, Agency Power 'Red Group' rear dogbones, swaybar link and thrust bushings, and PSS9's. I have developed a very loud squeak that sounds like it is coming from the back end of the car, and also a bit of a 'clunk' sound at low speeds. I know that sounds generic, but I think they are related. The car sounds like a 'Stage Coach' or a cheap motel mattress.
Any recommendations on what to try to get rid of the squeak? Should I grease the sway bar bushings? Grease some part of the Bilsteins? Is it the AP parts causing it?
I am completely out of ideas, so any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
G

Clunking could be the sway bar link bolts need tightened. I would go through the whole suspension and be sure everything is torqued down good. I just had to tighten my sway link bolts because of a low speed clunk.
Not sure about your red group dog bones, but my agency dogs are solid ends & are a bit noisy/clunky & do need occasional lubing, maybe pull your r wheels & lube & ck/tighten everything to start with, and apply some lube to the sway bar busings too
