MY New Protomotive Tune Rocks
HI,Thank you,,,,I like sharing my info/findings with others here,as I have done in the past....But sometimes others pick the info apart to make it sound like it was given for another reason??....OR as they say, some can not handle the truth....lol...
....I am not a vendor and I do pay for my stuff. I thought the whole idea of a forum was to share info but it seems to some only certain types of info is accepted by certain groups??....lol....Good Luck with whoever and I hope it turns out the way you want it...

I was just saying how people might perceive your comments. This is an opinion forum though so you are entitled to it and people deserve to know the dealings of vendors.
I really am looking forward to the dyno sheets though as I've been dragging my feet on a turbo upgrade for a long time now.

If you were comparing tunes you should just say you like protos tune better than your previous not call out companies/tuners. Not classy just my 2 cents.

HI,You have the right to your opinion...You may have a point,, BUT eventually most would ask for their own info...Isnt that what this is about ,sharing info to help decide??
++++++++++++++1
it is clear that there is resentment in these post if john knows it or not. i once had a problem with someone doing work on my car thats not a vender and my thread was closed and this was a cut and dry situation of being over charged for hours. i believe that sometimes the personality type is not what fits in many relationships and this no different. both turners are well respected and john is happier now for the most part. this thread , in my opinion should die. this will show that john does respect EPL and understands that in life we can't make everyone agree on our point.. one experience can not dictate future ones. john, get out there and drive the **** out of your car before you upgrade again!
I have spoken with John several times and he is a very nice and knowledgeable guy. He is trying to get his car where he wants/likes it and has changed many things to reach his goals. I have my opinions of what went down and probably have more information than what most have since I have personally chatted with him.
I don't think he is out of line, but just posting his story and long journey to get his car modded. We all know modding is fun on paper, but when you start working with vendors and 3rd party parts, things don't work out sometimes. Expectations may not line up or other things are causing issues, etc.
Then you start taking with other vendors buying more parts and the $$$ and frustration adds up. Hind sight is 20/20 is the saying!
If we can't talk about things openly and compare products/services, what good is this forum?
Looking forward to the dyno sheets! Just glad he is happy now and can move on! What's next, John?

HEY guys,,I just put another e-mail over to Todd to send me the dyno comparision sheets to put this stuff to rest,,,Who knows it might not because some might find other areas to pick on??...lol...
...I hope not.....Even though dyno sheets are not every thing in a tune,,in which I said about the drivability area also.....As I said in a response above ,the ones he sent me,I could not open>>>Only this came threw from Todd,,From: TKnighton [mailto:sales@protomotive.com]

You can see we were running less boost, especially on top. 1 psi less, but making almost 60hp more at reline than your old file.
We had intentionally lowered the timing and boost in the midrange to help out with the 93 octane tendency to knock.
Otherwise, the runs tended to overlay eachother plus or minus just a little.
No doubt the original file made nice power. As I told you, I was impressed by what it made initially. We made some nice improvements, improved your drivability, mileage, etc. while keeping and improving on the power J
