MY New Protomotive Tune Rocks

Hey Guys,,,,,I am here in Arkansas getting a new tune at Protomotive by the man himself,Todd K....Now I know why they call him the God Father of tuning.....Him and his wife are genuine good people AND both know their stuff ,as his crew is also.......Also they treat you like part of the family.....Some of our forums members/vendors cars are here for work/tuning also.....So far on the dyno ,he has given me more HP/TQ and a better/longer power curve then my previous EPL / Tony tune with less boost ,safer now and no big dip......I am very glad and a happy camper now that I moved on to Todd, even though I paid for another tune >>>it was worth it,,,,,with the spot on A/R's on Both banks now,I will even get better mileage,so it might balance out over time,,,,lol......He also has a fabracation shop, machine shop and his full time crew is like a family,,,,plus I am getting an education here.......He is still tweaking it on dyno to make it the best it can be with my combo...So,far over 600 TQ and 600 HP pulling without a dip straight to 7400RPM.....I will post results of before and after....As they say>>>Proof is in the pudding....lol...:)

7400 rpm on stock internals? That's pushing it a little, no?

HI,Still at Protomotive with car on dyno,,on his computer now..lol.....Todd believes the later engines like mine,2004, are fine with that rev limit..I know it will help usabilty in 1st and gear recovery 1st gear to 2nd gear shifts big time...

HI,I am on the way home now, driven 300 miles so far, from Protomotive ....So far ,,I am getting better milage now,as Todd told me I would....In 4th gear I hit 146mph were as before it hit 140mph,,this probably do mostly to rev limiter being 400 RPM higher now....I am only hitting 1.3 with peaks of 1.4 in the low 60s temp now,,where as before I was hitting 1.4 with peaks of 1.5 at same temps..the old EPL tune hit peak boost sooner all at once which made the car hit harder intially but faded,,,,, were as now it is more linear, smoother, and keeps pulling harder all the way to the top....Have to get back on the road....Will post Dyno sheets as soon as I get them e-mailed from Protomotive...:)

Tony, Really?

John, congratulation on your new tune. Do you plan on putting your car on the last dyno you ran the car on with the EPL tune? that would for surely end the debate. In any case it is You that needs to be happy so enjoy...

If he took a baseline dyno at Proto,

is that really necessary ?
