Rear Tires Rubbing :( need options????

I finally got my HRE c90 back from powdercoating, I bought them half destroyed and needed a new finish!

I go to install these and then notice that the front are hitting my calipers arrg so I ordered 7mm spacers and bolts to solve that minor problem.

My real problem is that my back tires (295/35/19 P-Zeros) stick out about 1-2mm.. and since im lowered on HRE spring it rubs as soon as I hit any sort of bump!

So my three options are..
1-machine the centers of the rims 3/8 of a inch and roll fender.
2- give my rear lots of camber and roll fenders
3- buy new suspension and raise the car...

Ill post pics later but does someone have the best answer for me!

thanks
Tyler

Sounds like the offset specs for the wheels are wrong. (I'm running 315x25x19r on 12" rims lowered with no rubbing after rolling the rear lips). Roll the rear fender well lips first. That may work all by itself and it's cheap. Before you machine the rims down, I'd check with HRE to see how much you can safely take them down. Much more than 10mm is starting to push it and you may not clear the rear calipers. Forget adding much more than factory camber settings as you'll destroy rear tires in about 5K. PSS10s will solve the problem but is the most expensive solution.

Not that this has anything to do with your problem, but did you know you have the wrong size rear tires? You can ruin you front differential.

Opps im actually running 295/30/19 so I know the tires are not the issue...
and theres lots of room between the caliper and the rim in the back unlike the front!

Option #2 is what I would do first. Then take it from there.

sounds a little bad .. but just sell the wheels and buy a set that is the correct offset

spacers are just annoying if there not hubcentric

What he said. You'll never get these to look or act right. I'd sell them and get wheels that fit the car.

Hasauto, I'm not sure the spec's on your particular wheel. Since we build a lot of custom spec wheels for our customers, it is possible that the original owner had some specific offsets for his vehicle.

If you would like to email me the serial number off the backpad, I can assist you to compare with our recommended offset for your 911.

We highly do NOT recommend shaving of our wheels. It will effect the structural integrity of the wheels.

Check to insure they were assimbled correctly

I recently had my HRE's powder coated as well. When the wheels came back I had the same issue, The fronts hit the calipers. after inspecting the rims, it turned out that the wheels were assembled incorrectly, they had the front centers on the back and back centers on the front. You should check the cereal numbers inside the rim to make sure. The cereal number will tell you what is front and what is back by the size of the barrel and offset.

I had to have my wheels taken apart and reassembled to correct the issue.

Good luck
