Snow tires - will these work? 996TT

Thanks all in advance.

I have been looking for a decent set of used snow tires (Toronto) for my 996TT. Im happy putting them on my stock rims or if I find a set mounted on rims that will work for my 996TT, Im happy to buy a combo if that is how it works out.

I found these, but Im not sure that they will work. Diameter is a bit larger than stock.

Dunlop Winter Sport M3s
245/40/18
275/35/18

Front and rear diameter looks very similar (important for front diff) at:

Front (24.5*.4)*2+45.72=65.4
Rear (27.5*.35)*2+45.72=64.97

65.4/64.97=1.007%

But the diameter is bigger than stock by about 2cm.

What do you think?

The other thing Im worried about is these are calculations and the actual tires may be off by a fair bit.

Mine are 265/35 and 225/40 on 18x10 and 18x8 wheels respectively. They are what Tirerack recommended. Feels like the ones you found might be too big, but others know more than I do.

Thanks

Anyone know if a 245/40/18 will fit upfront??

Seems to be the same diameter as 275/35/18 which tire rack recommends for our cars, so I'm inclined to think they will work.

But I'm just guessing!

Anyone know?

225/40 18 up front. 275/35 18 rear. Don't use a 245 up front. Wider isn't better for snow traction. and 245's could rub. Remember, the lugs on the shoulder of snow tires make them run a bit wide. A 265 will NOT fit the back 11" wheel properly and should not be done.
