I would go with Imagine - Stephen is one of the best/most responsive out there. I got my headers and a couple of little things from him and he always came across.

GIAC is tops on the ECU, IMHO

I still think Ruf is the best for performance, reliability, and streetability. If cost is no object, I think most people would choose Ruf.

- Any ECU Upgrade will put you into the high 11's

2.) top speed of over 190 mph
- The TT does that STOCK

3.) No internal work (crank, pistons, cams)ect.......
- None Needed

5.)OVER 500 hp.
- ECU will pretty much do this on its own, but adding the EVO Intake and/or Any Exhaust will put you well over 500 hp.

Thanks, Justin

I never trackled mine but Hershels went 11.29 at the shoot-out.

RUF offers a 520bhp and 550bhp packages that don't need any internal engine works. Basically, just bolt-ons. For non X-50 cars/GT2, they also change the intercoolers to X-50/GT2 spec and upgrade the turbos to KKK24's that are made to RUF specs as well. I have experienced, first hand, the RUF 550 on a GT2 and a special RUF built 996 turbo running the BHP650 package.

I haven't tried the other tuners packages but they are all reputable and should stand behind their product especialy Stephen, who seems to be one of the nicest people, always ready to answer quistions even if they are not from a customer.

Ruf has the reputation for reliablity and bulletproof engineering. Their conversions are costly, however. Several other tuners have developed very good reputations with the 996tt in the last several years (IA, EVO ect). I chose Ruf three years ago because they had the most experience with my car. Now, there are lots of people with lots of experience and good records. 500hp is now kind of entry level stuff for these guys.

500 is easy to reach... and u can't go wrong with any of these tuners... (simply ecu, exhaust, airfilter will get you around 520)...
reliability too...
it's really after the 540 or 600 mark where they start to deviate...
around 500ish... all u're really looking after is "customer service" ^___^

however if $$ isn't an issue... ruf will be a nice setup to go with... but a lot more $$ compared to others...
