Any k16 hybrid 60-130 times
i had the pleasure of meeting layinback during a dyno session. willing to sit for hrs and talk porsche. one of the nicest most articulate person i have met in a long time. and a car that needs an anchor to keep it land bound!!
Back at ya Steve!
The first 911 turbo came out when I was in 6th grade. I remember reading
that it could hit 60 mph in 5 seconds and it carried a whopping 25k price
tag. It was also the coolest looking car I'd ever seen. 37 years later and I'm
still in love.
Thank you.
about other members cars lol. After I reviewed my post I could see how
it could be interpreted as a slight against Vivid. Some clarification was
in order.
I recorded a 5.87 second 60-130 on the pbox yesterday. I just submitted
the bin file to Mike for authentication. I actually performed this record
breaking run on an uphill slope!!! 4th gear pull, stock tires, stock internals
on 104 octane @ 1.57 bar.
congrats!
Thanks brutha Steve! You and I know the truth about dyno numbers lol!
You were there when my car dynoed 560 hp and 600 tq @ the wheels.
RWD car on RWD dyno. Those numbers don't correspond to a 5 second
60-130. Dyno numbers are good for a baseline for tuning, nothing else.
We also dispelled another myth concerning spool up. Your k24 spooled
up quicker than my k16 billets! Man there's a lot of myth and not much
fact about this stuff. One ride in my car will make a believer out of
anybody and that aint no myth.

people underestimate the k16 hybrids. You got a low 6 with a tiptronic….
As you know, the key is peripherals, tune and weight saving. I purchased
most of the parts from Vivid as well as the k16g's. My local shop did most
of the bolt on items but they didn't do it right. The car was fast but it
wasn't right. I took the car to Markski and when I left Chicago, the car
was solid and unbelievably fast.
p.s the 1.57 bar was peak boost. According to the dyno, there's only
a tiny difference of hp and tq going from 1.46 to 1.59. The chart showed
2 hp and 17 ft lb tq.
I want to reiterate, the 1.57 bar was peak boost. If the "critics" have an issue
with this number, I'll happily do another run at 1.4 bar. The record for a k16
car is 6.33. I'm confident that this car will run 6.0s or 6.1s at 1.4 bar

That's killer. With a proper tranny, k16's really shine. Keep it up! Now go get my 10.7 1/4 mile at 135 time.
Thanks Todd! I must say, your 6.33 served as an inspiration! I think most

Thanks again Todd. I'm really not a drag strip dude and this 1/4 mile thing with
Porsche guys is a recent phenomenon. Maybe out of curiosity one day but
I don't think Porsche is a drag car. Of course Porsche can do it better than
most Auto companies who market their cars drag strip acumen. My friend
Steve and Markski are highly focused on the 1/4 mile…..to each his own.
Thank you Steve. I felt like a kid again when Mike emailed
and said I broke the record and was on the list.
