Oil Drip

I have a small amount of oil under the car, one drop every couple days. Today I took my car in to have winter wheels and tires put on at Sportec. I had them lift the car, it appears that the oil is coming from the shaft that goes into the gearbox and is connected to the linkage.

Has anyone ever heard of this leaking? I was told that if this is the cause, that the whole gearbox needs to be disassembled. I don't want to even say what the cost is at Sportec.

Can anyone suggest other causes or their experience with this type of leak?

Thanks...

The leak is more pronounced. Took the car in today to see just where it is leaking and rule out the accumulator and simple stuff. Thoroughly cleaned and run on dyno until it started seeping. It turns out that it is the passenger side selector shaft seal.

I can't live with the leak, wish I could, just too ****. That, and I will probably be selling before an upcoming move. Estimate to RR trans and repair is CHF 4,800.00. Is there anything I should expect to be worn or in need of repair when torn down? I don't have any apparent issues. No 2nd gear pop-out.

I'm having Sportec do the work. they are less than two miles from me.
