Why not just spring for a 996 GT2 then since you've already gone down the X50 route and like having a driver's car and something to toy with on the track?

That's certainly an option... I'm trying to find a local one to test drive.

Can't you have both? Does it have to be one or the other? It sounds like you know exactly what you want and like. If you don't think you are going to miss the Lamborghini terribly, then make the switch back to the perfect Porsche for you.
