Low Oil Pressure Indicator

Hi Guys,

I have been researching this problem in this forum. My problem is that just recently I noticed that the low oil pressure warning light would pop on intermittently. I started to observe the oil pressure gauge and noticed in the cold, at idle it would be just above 2 bar to just under 5 bar under higher rpm. When the car is warmed up, the light would come on when the gauge would dip to 1.5 bar at idle. The gauge never goes below 1 bar and has not exhibited the famous sudden drop to either 0 or up to 5.

Do you guys think this could still be the oil sending unit going bad or something else? No oil leaks anywhere and the car runs fine. Thanks for any input!

Sending unit seem to be a common issue. I would check it first - or at least the wire to be sure it is connected ok.

Thanks Chad!

I also forgot: I added a quart of oil thinking that would solve the issue, but it still reads the same with no changes in the levels.
