Sup fellas, new to the forum.
I am starting my search for a 2001-2003 996TT. Been looking for a coouple weeks and I notice every one for sale is silver or black. White and yellow seem impossible to find! Im sure I will be posting nooby questions about the car once I get it, or question on what to look for. Ive already searched alot and seems to have a bunch of info here.
I currently have a 600hp NA corvette I road race and a basiclly stock E46 M3. I told the wife I need 3 useless cars

thanks guys...unfortunatly, my price range is about 45k at most for now. I am looking for white mostly, but I swear they dont exist, but if they do they are 10k more than any other color. Maybe I will just get black and wrap it :-)

welcome!
In my search for a Turbo, I too would have loved to find a white one. I did actually did find one and one only. It was nice but didn't have a couple of things that I wanted and it was about $15k over budget. In my 10 months of searching the US, I caved and went with Basalt Black. I did get heated seats and <15k miles, from a dry climate and lots of good stuff.
Wifes had a White Boxster since '02 and it just looks right. GL

I feel your pain. I also was looking for something up-beat in the looks department but the choice is just not there so I decided to change some of my criteria around and I looked for a low mileage, California car (no bad weather), unusual interior color to create a nice color combination, well optioned (from the Porsche factory) with some tasty and tasteful upgrades done by somebody that had a lot of money to spend on the "baby". Suddenly, the choices were plenty-full.
Yup, i will prob end up doing the same. Looked at a black one tonight. Think il just do a flat white wrap on it

In case it's not already obvious for you guys (pretty sure it is now!) white is one of the toughest colors to find on the 996TT and generally carries the highest premium that I know of. I do definitely agree that doing a professional wrap makes a lot of sense since you'll save a ton of money.
Sure...if you want just pm me your asking price.
As far as wrapping, i do it myself so id save even more, plus would be a fun project. A porsche would be pretty easy since 99% of the lines are all smooth. I forsee the front bumper being a toughy though

A 996 in white is nice, but these cars look best in speed yellow or cobalt blue, imho. Should have been out driving today, but all this Christmas decorating kept me busy with other things
What are you guys saying, black on black is the best color for any car especially a sports car Yes a pain to keep clean but freakin sexy as hell at night under the street lights. Like henry ford said you can have it any color you want as long as long as its black.
