I have an opportunity to either spend benjamin in a good way or waste it on a durametric knock off cable. I wondered what the feedback here is from the experts! I know you get what you pay for but right now an OEM PIWIS is not in the works. Is it worth getting for the most part? I assume it gets me more than an OBD code reader an resetter but is it worth the bejamin?

 

Yes, worth the money. If you're just using if for your car, you don't need to buy a professional version(regular versions only work on three cars, it records the VIN's) borrowed one from a member to diag a car here after my other scanner wouldn't tell me squat, and am now looking to buy one myself

 

+1 get a Durametric (non knock off). If you get a knock off, then you can't upgrade the software and get the latest version which has more features and diags.

+1 for the durametric. They should come with the car from the factory. Seriously.

 

How true that is , they should indeed. However, your local OPC will not like it that you have one as they cant Bull $hit you with unnecessary codes.

 

Anyone with a Porsche should have a Durametric, sounds like the perfect gift this year! Contact me if you need them.
