Flash or not flash before going Track day...
I don't think the flash will change the car so much that you have to "get use to it" before driving on the track. As others have posted, you certainly don't need the flash before going to the track -- but if you're going to flash it anyway, I don't see any reason to worry about doing right before your track event. The flash will give you a bit more power, and the throttle mapping will change, but it doesn't completely change the driving characteristics of your car. Besides, you probably shouldn't be out on the edge that much anyhow

@@ Are u sure? As per I know, our pump gas are 98 Octane besides Sinopec, they are probably 96 or 97. As my M3 requires 98 Octane in the user manual, it ran fine on Shell but not Sinopec(power down significant noticed)

Our rating is different from the US. There is an instrument that can read the octane level.
I had serious timing being retarded running with V Power. Then I added small amount of 104, things improved a lot.
You may need to discuss this with your tuner, as they may need to change the settings.
Also, fuel at Mainland may be even worse.

Regardless of whether or not you flash it or not, keep the car below 5/10ths.
You should be going NO WHERE NEAR the intensity where 400hp and 500hp are different.
If more experienced drivers in Miatas are not passing you, you're going too hard.
Ive seen too many nice cars in the wall on the first track day.

). You can try to be in a higher gear when you're testing. In the lower gears, you might get towards red line too fast to see what it will hold.
What flash did you end up going with? I also get about 1.2 bar -- but I haven't tried to hold it long enough (since I'll end up going too fast

Agreed, and I have them sorted out with a nice setting now, all 4 corners are running about 2.5 degree camber.
