Where does the car read the boost level? from more than one place?
I've been trying to educate myself on how our cars measure the boost level, and I can't figure this one out: I know that a boost leak can cause the ecu to request higher than normal boost levels so that the cylinders will receive the expected/requested PSI, and we can see this higher requested level on the in-dash boost gauge. If this is so, then does the ecu read the boost level at two different places? One location which shows up on the in-dash reading (closer to the turbos?) which would read the higher than usual boost level, and a second location (after the leak?) which would tell the ecu that the delivered PSI was less than that requested?
I know that the answer to my question is probably a simple one. Please help educate me!
