Don't know if my car will be ready for Friday or not.

Ok brake ducts work! I went to Putnam with NASA and brakes held up great! Obviously, Putnam is not quite as hard on the brakes as Road America but they really did hold up great with very consistant pedal feel. I'm quite happy with my brakes now and they're stock except for Cobalt VR pads. 1:18.36 with a passenger in a stock Z06 on Toyos. Going to Grattan May 30th next, hopefully looking for something sub 1:30 there.
Toyo RA-1's they're really an R-compound tire IMO, although some classify them as street tires. They're comparable to Michelin Pilot Sport Cups from what I've gathered maybe not quite as sticky.
I might go there again this season. Nice track and I think I can find more time there
. There was a modded yellow 993 turbo that did 1:18.8xx, he was running Michelin slicks, exhaust, suspension, and some motor work (probably just higher boost). You should be able to take him down since cups would be worth around 1.5 seconds there over good street tire, or at least it would be a good match

I am guessing tim will be in the 17's. I have run high 17's on older hoosiers in my 944 turbo and tims car is much quicker than mine, so I am sure with some R compounds tim will dip at least into the 17s
Hey Tim,
I've not experienced the problems you're having with your TT. I'm running stock rotors, calipers and using SRF Fluid. For pads I'm using Pagid black front and rear. I just added some cooling hoses to aid in rotor cooling as I get rid of the rotors after 2 race weekends because I get quite a bit of grooving and cracking by the second weekend.
The differences in our cars are a few. W/O driver my TT's at 2890 lbs. I'm no longer running with PSM or ABS. I have a dual master cylinder with a balance bar to adjust bias. I do go hard into the braking zones but brake closer to 95% than 100% due to no ABS. Maybe the stock bias on the TT puts to much effort towards the front and ends up cooking the fluid???? I don't know...
I just ran the PCA Sprint Race and 1 Hour Enduro at Mid-O and never experienced any fade during either event. One interesting thing did happen during the Sprint Race at 155-160 mph on the back straight. A piece of rubber from the car in front of me flung up and hit my kill switch. After pulling off, got out of the race car, flipped the switch back on, climbed back into the car I lost about 2 minutes. I will be shielding the kill switch from now on.
Let me know what you find out as I'm always interested in trying it on my race car.

. It's still a nice time. I only got just under 1:20 on street tires. I will be down there with cups later this season.
