Looking for tuned TT for sale
Hey Peter,
Welcome to the board.
The 02's I've seen go are actually US spec F1's with no problems in our out.
But if a broker is willing to give you more, then I would definatly take it then go buy a 996 TT (their selling from the mid 80's for a 2001) then mod the crap out of it. A bunch of guys around here have their TT's at 700hp.

Oh by the way guys, up in Toronto cars are insanely cheap with the US exchange rate, its almost laughable (from an american point of view)
I can get 03' Spiders with low miles for $230US
Same with basically any car, pm me if you guys are looking for anything.

Peter,
In regards to prices on 360's, the asking prices on these are usually far from actual selling prices. On the $200k+ Spiders it is generally accepted that there is about $20k or so of play in that number. Very few sell at actual asking prices. This is unlike the 996TT market which usually is not far off asking vs. selling.
Rather than PM you, I will post publicly so it can help all that may be interested. The 996TT and 360 are entirely different cars. The 996TT is my daily driver and it is great at that. I just don't think the 360 is practical as a daily driver. As the 360 gets to 15k miles the prices start to go down dramatically, the Porsche is good to 30k miles without the dramatic dropoff of prices. The 996 is bulletproof in comparison to the 360 as far as reliability. The Ferrari has "soul" and "character". The Porsche has it as well, but nowhere near what the 360 has. The Porsche is faster but the 360 is fast even when it is parked. While the Porsche is swathed with luxury features the Ferrari gives you some leather but does without the fancy gadgets, relatively. When I got my first Porsche I was amazed with how well they handle, I figured this was as good as it got for a road car. Well, the handling and feel of the 360 almost puts my Porsche to shame, it is absolute magic. I don't know what Ferrari did, but I haven't felt anything so good before, ever. The noises that come out of the Ferrari engine I can't even put into words, it sends a chill up my spine each time I drive it. I am still swapping exhausts on my Porsche to see if I can find a sound that at least gives me a grin, but the 360 has ruined me. I love my Porsche, but the Ferrari is what makes my heart race when I see both in the garage. It is a shame, too, as arguably the 996TT is one of the best sports cars in the world, and the 360 has numbed me to this.
The bottom line for me is that if I were to have only one car it would be the Porsche. The Ferrari is an incredible experience, and if you are looking for a secondary car that would be my first choice.

Michael...Your comments were right on the money!!!
I had a '02 Spyder for two months. Unfortunately I couldn't keep both cars and decided on keeping the 996TT since I would be able to drive it more. Both beautiful cars, but the Ferrari really makes one smile when driving it...the TT does too...but it's just a matter of which grin
is bigger!!!

Thanks for your thoughts, Michael! You put in words the feelings I have for both the 360 and the TT. Since I have a couple of race cars too, I can only justify one terrific street car. I have owned a bunch of Porsches, including a 993TT, and the Porsches are better every day drivers. I have owned the 360 for 18 glorious months, and have a Stradale on order, but thinking about whether it is time to move back to Porsche again.
