FWIW, I just installed a pair of GT3 Euro seats and Schroth 6pt harnesses in my 996TT, following guidance from a number of previous threads. Thanks all!
I left the stock seat belt in for daily driving. My last remaining issue was how to silence the seat belt warning chime when I was using the 6pt's at the track. Many suggestions including getting a used belt from junkyard and cutting the male buckle off, etc. No junkyard near me so, I just got a "seat belt buckle to silence the buzzer" from Pelican Parts that works slick. $25 and worth every penny.
