I have a 2001 996TT with 3 button positions within the car for the seat and mirror memory. I purchased an extra full function key, the one with the remote transmitter. My original key with transmitter has a red band near the remote portion of the key. The new key does not have this band.

Here is my question. I set memory position 1 to my original key FOB and want memory position 2 to be for my 2nd key FOB. This is what I tried to no avail. I turn the ignition to "ON", press memory position 2 in the car and then press and hold "M" while pressing the door lock/unlock on key FOB 2. It does not work. The seats go all the way to the forward position and all the way up. How can I program memory position 2 to my newly purchased key FOB?

The manual does not specify how to program multiple keys.
