I'd like to buy an epl flash program for my car from ams website , but i've never flashed an ecu myself before..so i'm not sure if i'm able to do this work .
What i need to do the flash ?...only a portable PC (laptop) ?
And if i buy the flash program , what arrive to me at home ?
Ok i know the flash cable , but they send to me the epl file-program on a compact disck ready to be loaded (like FVD) or must i download the original file and send it by email and after they resend the tuned file to me ?
Another thing , my car is already flashed , could this be a problem ?

I use EPL and flash my car at home and it's very simple. All you need is a Laptop with Win XP or Win 7 and good internet access. I would contact EPL directly. They email the programer and logger to you and mail the program cable to you.

 

I used Softronic at home with my laptop (windows 7) and it was a breeze. They emailed a zip file of the new file to me with my original stock file in three days and the durametric cable came a day later. So I'm sure EPL should be just as easy. You need a laptop with 4gig RAM, reasonably fast processor and a hard wired internet connection. I hooked the battery up to a 12amp charger just to be safe.Just read their instuctions several times and have a printed out copy next to you when you do the upload. Took all of about 10 minutes to do the actual upload. The dash boards lights up like christmas when it is uploading to your ECU so don't freak out.

 

You will love the flash- have had mine for two years and it's been flawless!
