I'm fairly confident it is not from Porsche. I remember seeing the same thing with BMW XI cars, except there it was 1%

I think what is obvious is that the original combo from the manufacturer is NOT off by 3% - it is 0.1%

What's the latest best option to buy 315/25/19 tires?

I really wish Hankook would make this size .

Yesterday I put on 305/30/19 on mY 11.5" wheel with 235/35/19 in the front which I already had. Still with in 3% and omg the ride is soooooooo much better!!! I will eventually put 225/40/19 in the front to match the rears

Are you not getting rubbing? 305/30/19 is 26.3'' in diameter. I've heard anything over 25.5'' will rub the inner part of the rears?

ETA: This is in reference to those using the stock 19'' 997tt wheels (11.5'' wheel) and NOT stock 996tt wheels on a 996tt.

Just in case you guys didn't know, you can still get 315/25/19s. I made a thread on it a few weeks ago . Call TireRack, ask for Toyo Proxes T1Rs. Just got mine delivered this week.

Ya, thanks for your headsup on that. They show online as backordered, but they are definately the current best option for 315/25/19's.

I'll likely get a pair of those, as I'm still not convinced that most people don't have problems with 305/30/19 tires or ANY other size in the rear on a 996tt with 997tt wheels. I would really like to buy Hankooks V12 Ventus to match the front tires I bought already (and are $300 cheaper for the rears), but they will likely never be made in 315/25/19.

Well obviously, the ideal set up is 235/35 front and 315/25 rear. But, you have other options as well:

(F)225/40/19 [26.1"]
(R)295/30/19 [26.0"]
----------
(F)225/40/19 [26.1"]
(R)305/30/19 [26.3"]
----------
(F)245/35/19 [25.8"]
(R)295/30/19 [26.0"]

I would go with option 3 if I had to choose an alternative simply because it gives the most clearance in the front. A lot of people think a 295 will stretch on the rear, but as long as the rear is 11.5" wide or less, you're good to go. Hope this helps.

When is somebody other than Toyo going to come out with a 315/25-19? At least we have one choice now instead of zero! There are many other cars like Ferrari, Corvette, etc that could use the same exact size so it's amazing to me everybody else has stopped making them.

I'm going to go with Toyo Proxes R888 19" tires for the street if somebody doesn't offer a street tire soon.

Can I put Toyo T1R 315/25/19 rear with PS2 235/35/19 front? My front PS2 still have lots of thread left.

I was strongly advised not to by TireRack. It's completely doable, but I'm unsure if you'll get optimal traction

ZOokie- are you not rubbing? My car ( same as yours) looks about as low as yours on a 12" rim my PS2' on rear in 315/25/19 barely has clearance and can look even tucked in the back from some angles. I know depending on sidewall construction ( taller, rounder, etc..) I "THINK" I can run 305/30 but just wondering..

Also it is verified I do have to run 225/40 in front?

thank you anyone..
