I know there are some really cool "paint to sample" combo's out there, show us your best!

 

I have never heard the term "paint to sample". Could you explain what this is?

 

When you order your Porsche from the factory (rather than taking one on the lot), you can have it painted any color you want (just give them a sample). I've seen some pretty crazy colors out there.

I'm laughing but don't know if I'm supposed to.

 

It doesn't come for free, adds around $5K+ but indeed they will paint it whatever color you can come up with (even salmon)!

Any better ones our there than salmon? I'm looking to buy a more appealing paint to sample car.

 

I've seen a couple of signal yellow 996TT's, maybe there is one for sale somewhere. It's a great OEM color from the 70's. My first Porsche was signal yellow, but had been re-painted black before I purchased it. Signal has more orange color than speed yellow. In fact, I almost ordered my car in that color, but did not want to wait the extra 6 months at the time...

I bought a bugatti blue PTS (a french blue variant similar to mexico blue). I'll be posting pics soon. I have a friend who is looking for another PTS car if someone is looking to sell.

 

Here's one for you guys. It is one of two Adriatic Blue GT2's. Many may recall from where it came. I have been scanning the boards for years to see if it comes up again for sale..... Currently belongs to a collector who has a death grip on it......
