996TT and "alternative transportation" (pics)
Yesterday was a phenomenal day in the Carolinas and I pulled my two favorite toys out of the garage and took a few pictures to share with fellow 6Speeders.
The bike is a 2002 BMW K1200RS and is, in my opinion the 2 wheeled equivalent of the 996 TT. The only mods I've done are carbon fiber inner fender over the rear wheel, smoked windshield, and "always on" marker lights as well as "blue-ray" headlight. This is a supremely comfortable longe-range high performance sport cruiser that never ceases to bring a smile to my face.
My Porsche is a 2003 996 TT with EVO Stage II, PSS9's, PS2's, painted console, instrument trim rings, painted rear bumper **** (thanks to Eric at Bumperplugs.com...a local), Artec MK wheels with Seal Grey centers and Ralph Boothe center caps and lugs. The pedals are from Ultimatepedals.com and although hard to see, have the Porsche "turbo" logo engraved on them. The gas pedal is perfect for heel-toe BTW. I LOVE this car!! I have no intention of letting it out of my grip anytime soon. It was purchased new from Hendrick Porsche here in Charlotte, NC.
Now....what to drive to work tomorrow?
Not Porsche-related, but nonetheless, a cool picture of my son breaking through the line as a running back that I took last fall. He was a junior then and will be the starting running back again this year as a senior. Sorry, couldn't resist. Sue me. I'm a proud dad.

Actually, we made a poster of the football pic and it hangs in our game room. The file happened to be on Photobucket when I loaded the car pics and I thought others might enjoy it.
Love the football picture. I was starting tailback the year too (senior). How many yards did your son run for? How'd the playoffs go?

Your sons pic is hypnotizing me! You should enlarge it and frame it!
