What do you do for a living?
BSc, Certified Management Accountant, CFA charterholder, M.Eng
Bought my first 996, a C4S when I was 29 and my third 911 a 996TT when I was 34. Had a 997 C2S cab in between but sold it to go back to school and pay for my Masters. Work as an internal consultant improving manufacturing, supply chain and business operations for a multinational company. Been with the same company since I got out of college for the last 10 years.

This is a great thread...wow lots of hard workers and acheivers in our enthusiast community. Hats off to the parents, recsue workers, and people that serve the country and military...your service is selfless.
As for me, 36 year old now...sheesh how the time flies
, got BSEE from Virginia Tech in 98, worked/played for a bit in the dot com boom late 90's...stint at Dartmouth along the way. Started an IT/Comms Sys Fed Contracting business in 2005, grew that intil the recession hit, scaled back and now trying to expand again and package it for aquisition. Then start another business either in the online application market, or pursue another area that I have interest in.
Past cars include several Porsches, BMWs, Benzes....Present cars are: Porsche GT2, Aston Martin DB9, Mercedes SL55 AMG, VW 337, BMW M3 LTW Touring car (my racecar toy lol!) ....Next addition to the stable (coming sooner then later hopefully)...Ferrari 458 or Lambo LP670SV/LP640, or McLaren MP4 - 12C ...god willing to add to the collection.
PS. Wow those spider monkeys are pretty wiley and very fast...really aggessive suckers too!

This is a great thread! I thoroughly enjoy reading about others' successes and how they have made their money. Hat's off to everyone who has worked hard and made themselves into what they are today. This new generation (which is just a hair younger than myself) seems to generally have no desire to work. But that's a generality and doesn't apply to all.
Anyway, my story.
Graduated Miami University in 2002 with a Bachelor's in MIS and Ops Management. Had worked full time through school for Grant Thornton LLP (Consulting) and a couple other smaller consulting firms. Went to work for the "Boppy" Company (anyone with kids knows what a Boppy is) when I got out of school because our consulting fees were just wearing them down, otherwise known as "fee fatigue", and they needed more assistance. Ran all of Boppy's operations in El Paso, TX and Juarez, Mexico for 10 months until everything in their Supply Chain and Warehouse Management area were all streamlined. It was fun, but time for a change.
Took a short term IT Director position for an international 3PL to help streamline their IT ops, and some of their SC, as well as take them through an ERP selection project. Knocked that out in 10 months as well and the CEO and I decided it was cool if I moved on to Deloitte to get back into the consulting world ("Industry" generally bores me to death).
Went to Deloitte in 2004, stayed for 5 years and was on the fast track to Partner (would have presumably been one of the youngest ever to make it if I had stayed). Good experience, but was sick of the 100% travel and 100 hour weeks for crap money.
Left Deloitte to help my father grow his consulting firm, EMG Consulting, where we grew it for 2 more years. Early this year, we went through a merger with two (2) other firms and rebranded as StoneCross Group, LLC (SCG).
SCG is a Supply Chain / Management Consulting firm that is a bit unique. We only use SME's and proven industry experts as our consultants, while using almost no "junior" talent whatsoever. This has been working well for us since the market seems to not want to pay the "big firm" fees anymore to "teach" these younger adults how to consult. Our clients want experience and solutions from before we even hit the ground running, which is exactly what they get. It's been nice and we work with Fortune 50 clients to Middle Market (~50 million a year) clients providing a range of solutions. Although our new website isn't up, I would LOVE to get feedback from members on the general look, feel and presentation of our current site. So rip it up if you want, b/c there is no such thing as "negative" feedback, just "constructive". www.stonecrossgroup.com
Sorry, a bit long winded today. Hope to add a Galardo to the garage next year, or maybe a 997 GT-3 RS, but we'll see. I travel so much anyway, I don't get to drive the cars too often.
