Great Driving Shoe (for me anyway)

Been looking for a better driving/track shoe. Been through about a dozen and haven't find anything I really liked. Thought I would try these

Merrell Barefoot Edge Gloves
http://www.zappos.com/merrell-barefoot-edge-glove-ivory

Barefoot Slant Gloves
http://www.zappos.com/merrell-barefo...-glove-bracken

Super light weight, super comfortable, wide at the right part to tap both throttle and brake, rubber heel. Zappo's has free return shipping if you hate them. I have to say they are the best I have ever tried for driving.

Thanks for the information. I was not familiar with Zappo's, but it looks like a great site for shoes. How do the sizes run on Merrell? Puma's tend to run small.

My last pair were Puma Speed Cats 9 1/2. They were too narrow for me and tight - impossible to reach both brake and throttle at the same time.

I order these in the same size (9 1/2) and they fit perfect.

For me, these are the next best thing to barefoot.

These minimal shoes have blown up ever since Vibram came out with those Five Fingers. I actually got a pair, but running in them started to irritate my toes, so shoes like this are the best of both worlds. New Balance has a similar line of stuff as well. I had actually gone to the store to pick up the Merrells but found the New Balance ones more comfortable.

Of the shoes I own though my favorite for driving the Porsche are my Piloti G16 shoes. I stole this pic off google image search. I don't think they sell them anymore, but they still have a lot of different shoes. I picked them up years ago, and then later on was amused to see Jeremy Clarkson wearing them when reviewing the Alfa Romeo 8C.
