Speed In Gears on teh following models
Speed In Gears on teh following models
996 turbo
996 turboS
996 GT2
997 turbo (pre PDK)
997 GT2
There was a bit of rumor at one point that Porsche went to a different input shaft in the 997 that spaced out the gears a bit. The late Robert P also always that his car (a 996 turb0S) had different shift points to the earlier "nominal a996ts) that he raced. maybe Porsche just went with teh 997 input shaft on teh last TurboS and GT2 models?
Any info on this. I understand that the redline obviously affects speed. So let's try to post for stock RPM limits or adjust down if you're at a higher rev limit.
Finally I believe Gbox was marketing a 997 input shaft for our turbos that not only carried a beefier third gear, but also spaced to gears a bit. This is an obvious boon to those of us who ave higher HP and TQ numbers and are dealing with limited time and spool in gears 1-2 and 3. Taller gears or rear end woudl really help.
